Hi! and welcome to my aviansie tanking guide.
i saw some of DIY’ers going to aviansie using Gas’s guide and thats nice. but with tanking, you don’t use prayer potions, thus making ALOT more money per trip, not mentioning how long you can stay there! In fact, if you got friends to bring you full armor once yours is breaking, or if you don’t use barrow items, you can probaly stay there forever! 
So, here is my guide! woo!
REQUIRMENTS
you need either 60 str\60 agil to enter gwd.
70 range is needed to enter kree’s area, 75+ is recommended for the aviansie.
70 defence is needed to wear the torag, 75 to wear dfs. 80+ def is recommended to tank aviansie.
GEAR AND INVY
(the amulat is ARMADYL pendant. you can get it after completing “temple of ikov” quest. if you sided with lucien, go kill armadyl guards back where the staff is. if you sided with armadyl, just talk to them. the drop is common)
i kinda like this gear\invy…
here are some changes to the gear:
sara dhide + zammy bracers can be swap with zammy dhide and sara bracers. no stat changes, but it might be cheaper.
dfs can be swap with obby shield. DO NOT use crystal shield, it will degrade fast and you will lose valuable defence points.
if you can afford it, use rangers boots.
if you can afford it, swap the torag helm with armadyl, and the pendant with a fury.
you can use granite shield instead of an obby shield, seeing they got same stats and granite is cheaper.
you can also use excalibur’s special for some defence boost.
if you want, you can add mithril grapple to the inventory and enter armadyl’s area for more kc. good for busy hours. if you want to take the risk, enter the camp, wait till a team will show up (teams there 90% of the time), wait for them to kill ALL monsters, run in, recharge prayer, right click-teleport on the altar. can be risky if kree’arra decides to respawn while you are inside tho… inside the camp you can also kill spiritual warriors, they hit low and can drop rune hallies\kites (alch)
SUMMONING
familiars are allowed in GWD, so why not using them?
If you got 16 summoning or lower, use a granite crab. his scrolls will give defence bonus (won’t stack with excalibur)
If you got 52 summoning or lower, use a terrorbird. feel her up with food.
If you got 67 summoning or lower, use a war tortoise. he is like a combination of a terrorbird (with more burden spots) and a granite crab (with more defence boost). feel him with food.
If you got 68 summoning and you don’t want to use a tortoise, a bunyip is pretty good here. he will heal you up 8hp per minute. peach heals 8hp. bunyip is like having an extra peach once a minute, without the use of an inventory spot! you should take a summoning potion and 1-2 extra bunyip pouches with you, since he won’t last forever 
If you can summon a titan\hydra and wanna go offensive, bring a opuch and kill faster.
If you got 96 summoning, a yak is the best burden in the game (30 spots).
if you got 99 summoning, you really shouldn’t tank aviansie 
HOW TO GET THERE
Cyan: Trollheim’s teleport.
Yellow: Games neckalce\combat bracelet teleport (games room\warriors guild)
Purple: PUT RANGE PROTECT ON HERE
use the agility shortcut (60 agility)
Brown: Wolfs here, melee protect is recommended.
WHERE TO KILL?

thats by far the BEST spawn, there are about 5 spawns here highest lvl is 83. in the western part you can attack aviansie that are being attacked by goraks as well.
REWARDS!
well, besides ~30k range exp\hr, you also get many addy bars and runes. I will post my invy after 1 run once i’m out.

What ammo is the most cost effective to produce good results?
I personally recommend Bronze Bolts and a Dorg Crossbow.
Use rune c’bow if u can.
use broad bolts as ammo. theyre cheap and hit as high as addy bolts.

i recomend bringing nats and a fire staff for alching the bad drops and to help you stay longer. but this only works if u are 55+ mage
Alch “rune dagger p+”s and “rune limbs”, keep ranarrs, bloods, addy bars and whatever else you need.
I usually keep 20 slots free for (200 tabs of) bones to peaches, and bring 5k broad bolts.
Note: You can stay at aviansies indefinitely (forever) with enough bones to peaches tabs and you dont even need to go to mage arena.
Oh, also, bring fire runes instead of a fire staff. Some unlucky chap next to me just alched his crossbow
Quite good guide but u need to check a few points:
1.Purple: PUT RANGE PROTECT ON HERE
use the agility shortcut (60 agility)
THAT SHORTCUT IS THE STRENGHT ONE.
2.DONT USE RING OF WEALTH.
EXPLANATION: Since addy bars drop rate isnt rare and wealth boosts rare drop rate, you will get MORE RUNE DAGGERS (P) AND RUNITE LIMBS than adamant bars.
3.DONT BRING TELE OUT RUNES.
Since u can use tele home, dont waste space in u bag with teles.
4.BROAD BOLTS ARE A MUST IF U HAVE 55 SLAY.
if not, use mith.
5.YOU CAN USE DH LEGS INSTEAD OF TORAGS. SAME BONUS AND CHEAPER.
6. YOU CAN TANK WITH 70 DEF, SINCE U CAN WEAR BARROWS ARMOUR.
7. TAKE 1-2 PRAY POTS, (70 DEF PPLE) JUST IN CASE U R LOW HP AND U RUN OUT OF BONES. TO PRAY RANGE.

Actually the ring of wealth is fine, as explained by J-mods when you kill a monster tehre is a chance the game will give you a “rare” drop. the ring of wealth doesn’t affect this. What it affectss is teh likelihood of the rare drop being more valuable when you get one.
i don’t recommand ring of wealth because ring of wealth is used to get rare drops and addy bars aren’t rare then : 1:4 whitout ring 1:5 , 1:6 with ring.
i recommand a archer ring if u can afford
If you have 80 plus def consider sacraficing
Def state for att sats just a tought
ring of weath works just as good as without it so i would say wear it.. dont be greedy you can’t make aviansies drop what you want.
I recommend wearing an archers ring as well, it helps provide the lost range bonus and also gives you a chance of hitting your max more frequently which leads to faster kills and more kills per trip. If you can not afford an archers ring a ring of wealth is fine, it can’t hurt if you don’t have a better ring and it gives you a greater chance at receiving a dragon half shield around 400k.
Over all if you can afford Archer get it if not wear Wealth.
Note: I wouldn’t suggest taking any prayer potions, just make sure your prayer is full when you start you trip. There are plenty of people killing and leaving bones, and if its a real emergency kill goblins for quick bones.
A Person: If you do have 80+ range giving up a little def isn’t a bad idea but its a personal choice. I have 80 def and I wear best range bonus Armour I can.

Armadyl Helm, Fury/Ranging Amulet, Accumulator, Zamorak Chaps, Saradomin Vambraces, Ranger Boots, Archers Ring, Rune Crossbow, Broad-Tipped Bolts
(I think I got everything lol.)

id recommend torag/verac helm sara d hide body(cheaper then zammy) torag/dh/verac legs ranger boots/dragon boots rune c bow zamorak vambs granite shield(cheaper then obby and dfs) archer ring and accumulator 70+ range 70+ defence
i dont think you can do it with less then 70 range and still tank
1. Allways use broad or mithrill bolts.
2. If you staying for 5 or more hours allways pick up :
Adamant Bars.(Must)
Blood Runes.(Optional)
Chaos Runes.(Optional)
Nature Runes.(optional)
Allways Alch:
Rune Daggers P+
Rune Limbs
5 or less hours :
Grimmy Rannars.
Grimmy Kwurams.
Adamant Bars.
20 or more hours :
Well your just insane O.o
Tips About Aviansies:
* Always Range them on (Rapid).
* Bring Excalibur For the defence bonus of the special.
* This gets very Antagonisingly boring so you might want something to play or read while you do it, i usually Read a book or talk to a friend or text while i do it.

i did 10 trips with and without wealth (25 tabs) wealth = 5.8m average, no wealth = 4.9m average

I found that because they drop swordies quite frequently, i only use about 15-20 bones to peaches before my armour breaks (barrows-only good for 15hours of combat). Also it may be worth bringing 6 super defs as they make the trip last way longer and means you get hit less often
cool lol but i get a little more than 30 per hr
I bring Strawberry baskets instead of food because it heals more, I’m also going to try a trip with bunyips, 2 range pots, and 2 super def pots

“““““““`~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~good but i find it better to wear bandos tassets and a dragon full helm (dragon med helm if u cant afford it). they are non-degradable and provide great ranged deffence bonuses while still not subtracting much from the ranged bonus at all.
ive been at aviansies for quite a while now. ive almost used up 7k mith bolts. im ony 60 def and it doesnt seem to be to much of a problem for me
