»Aviansies Ranging Guide!«

»Introduction«

Hello and welcome to my guide on ranging aviansies! These monsters are one of the best methods to efficiently train ranged while earning a tremendous profit. They are found in the God Wars Dungeon, but are actually very safe to train on, and there is little risk involved. They are birds, so you can only use ranged or magic on them. I will only be covering ranged in this guide. Some of you may be wondering what I’m even talking about, so here is a picture of a few.

You might be wondering what makes the aviansies so good for making cash. killing avianses yields many valuable items, including runes, herbs, gems, and alchable rune weapons like daggers and crossbow limbs. Their main attraction, however, is large quantities of noted adamantite bars, which quickly add up to a very high value. All of these drops make fighting aviansies not only very profitable, but extremely useful if you are a high leveled Smither.

At 70 Ranged, I am able to make between 350-400k an hour profit at aviansies, and with a higher level, that means more kills per hour, thus more profit. I’ve heard reports of over 500k, even 600k, with a higher level.

Besides from being extremely profitable, there are other major advantages to training at aviansies, such as:

Minimal Annoyances: The GWD has several relatively high skill and quest requirements, which keeps out most low-level players. This means less competition for the monsters, and a much lower chance of being harrassed or annoyed by “noobs” and “pures”.

Random Event Free Zone: There are no randoms in the God Wars Dungeon! I don’t have to explain to you how wonderful that is, both in terms of saving hassle and not wasting time you could be getting XP.

No Melee Competition: Aviansies cannot be meleed, so you won’t be competing with meleers for them. They are just for mages and rangers!

Modest Equipment Requirements: You don’t need particularly expensive or fancy equipment; i.e., no godswords or Guthans sets or dragonfire shields.

»Requirements«

Quest Prerequisites:
Required:
Troll Stronghold (requires Death Plateau)– Allows you to enter the GWD

Optional, though suggested:
Temple of Ikov– Gives the Armadyl Pendant (not required)

Eadger’s Ruse– Trollheim Teleport (fast access)

Rum Deal– Holy Wrench (extra prayer restored from pots)

Horror from the Deep– Unholy Book

Skill Prerequisites:
Ranged and Prayer– Preferably as high as possible. At least 60 ranged and 40 prayer.

Defence and Hit Points– There is not a required level for these, but you want them as high as possible to extend your trips.

Strength or Agility– You need 60 in at least one of these to enter the GWD

Smithing and Fletching– If you have level 73 Smithing and level 61 Fletching, you can make your own addy bolts from the adamantite bars and feathers dropped by aviansies.

Hunter– At 71, you can trap imps (the regular kind) and use them to extend your stay by having them bank unstackables.

»Equipment«

Here is a picture of what I wear and bring in my inventory for a trip at aviansies.

► Sara Mitre
► Ava’s Accumulator
► Sara Stole (replace with a Holy symbol if needed, see page 2, post 3)
► Bone Bolts
► Dorg. Crossbow
► Monks Robe Top
► Unholy Book
► Monks Robe Bottom
► Spiky Black Vambraces (Upgrade to Barrows Gloves or God Vamps)
► Snakeskin Boots (Upgrade to Ranger Boots)
► Ring of Wealth (Upgrade to Archer Ring)

A more expensive option would be to use Emmy bolts (e) which poison the aviansies. You will use a rune crossbow with this method. More on this below.

► 252 Fire Runes
► 2 Law Runes
► 50 Nature Runes
► Holy Wrench
► 2 Sara Brews (4)
► Feather Spot
► Coin Spot
► 12 Prayer Pots (4)
► 3 Range Pots (4)

»Getting There«

Here is a map to the GWD.

Once there, head to the area in green and put protect from Ranged on.

Choose a spot where a lot of aviansies gather and start firing away. Drink ranged pots and prayer pots as needed, as use the brews for healing. For maximum efficiency, head to the bottom right section of the green area by the Goraks. They will attack the aviansies too, making for faster kills.

If using emmy (e) bolts as mentioned above, you want to use the Gorak area. In this case, you want to attack as many as possible, allowing the poison to inflict maximum damge while you kill the ones with the lowest health. Both the Goraks and the poison will inflict extra damage on the aviansies you are fighitng, allowing for numerous more kills, XP, and profit.

»Rewards«

This is a picture of the rewards from aviansies.

Here is a drop list.

The average drop value per kill is about 3640. Each kill costs about 600. Thus the avergae profit per kill is over 3k! It is practical to kill 150+ of these an hour, making these an awesome monster for ranged training. The XP rate is around 25-30k an hour. smile.gif

»Determining Trip Duration«

The following is a table of how many prayer points are restore from prayer potions (PP) and super restores (SR) at your given prayer lvel (Lvl). With the shown equipment, 8.33 prayer points are lost a minute. So to determine your trip duration do this equation. The answer is in hours.

PR= Points Resotre (add 1 if you bring a wrench)
D= The number of doses you bring.

PR x D

sry dude. but ur guide is wack. u need to include lots and lots of stuff. like a tank section. which if u post this or if u dont, its good for ppl to know how much more they make. i am currently on a trip. 1k kills. 952bars. and i havent banked in forever. i brought 250 bones to peaches and will make more than any prayer method because i dont have to waste time banking and restocking supplies. if u dont post this at least mention it. o. and if u do say this, dont bring any barrows equipment. b/c. it will be unusable b4 u r done. so just bring dhide, helm of neitiznot, about 6k bolts, a tele out. and yeah. no pots at all. u r just wasting space
